An Observation Concerning the Bratton-Marshall Diazo Reaction in Sulfonamide-free Urine

The diazo reaction commonly used for the quantitative determination of sulfonamides is positive in urine which is free of sulfa drugs. The reacting substance apparently is present in all urine.
