Samuel Pino 1, Joseph Benotti 1, and Henry Gardyna 1

1 Boston Medical Laboratory Inc., 19 Bay State Road, Boston 15, Mass.

A method for the determination of urine creatinine is presented which is relatively simple and completely automated. It is based on the Jaffeacute; reaction and differs from others in that the dialyzer module is not required. The instrument used is the Technicon AutoAnalyzer. The automated procedure is described in detail, and data are presented to show that it has excellent reproducibility.
