We describe a completely automated enzymatic method for estimating serum triglycerides with a centrifugal analyzer (ENI-GEMSAEC). Accuracy and precision (CV, 2 to 4.8%) and the upper limit of linearity (400 mg/100 ml) are monitored by use of newly developed, clear, aqueous triolein standards. A modified computer program (FOCAL 8) is used for data manipulation and correcting absorbance to zero reaction time. Results cornpare well with those obtained by an automated fluorometric procedure and a manual enzymatic procedure.
