Test-Tube Extraction Method for the Micro-Determination of Urinary 17-Ketosteroids

G. R. Kingsley 1 and Gloria Getchell 1

1 Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory, Veterans Administration Center, and the Department of Physiological Chemistry, School of Medicine, Los Angeles 25, Calif.

A rapid, simple, reproducible, test-tube extraction technic requiring less than 90 minutes for the micro-determination of urinary 17-ketosteroids has been presented. Experimental data indicate that the extraction technic may be applied to the Pincus, Zimmermann, or Cohen-Kaluszyner colorimetric methods.
