Various catecholamine metabolites, catecholamine-related compounds, catechols, drugs, amines, and other nitrogen compounds were injected onto an HPLC system ("ClinRep Catecholamine-Plasma" assay kit with a reversed-phase C18 column) used for measuring catecholamines. None of the 74 substances tested co-eluted with any of the catecholamines-- norepinephrine, epinephrine, or dopamine--or with the internal standard, 3,4-dihydroxybenzylamine.
