A Rapid Method for the Estimation of Urinary 17-Ketosteroids

A rapid method for the estimation of urinary 17-ketosteroids, based on the Zimmerman reaction, is presented. The color complex due to ketosteroids is selectively extracted with chloroform. Turbidity of chloroform extract is avoided by the addition of polyethyleneglycol.
