The infrared absorption spectra of typical prostatic, dental, and salivary gland calculi are presented. Similarly, the spectrum given by typical biliary tract calculi is demonstrated. Examples of the extension of this method of identification to common toxicologic problems are shown. The advantages of the potassium-bromide presseddisk preparation for analyses of these substances in the solid state are indicated and discussed.
