Electrometric Titration of Copper and Zinc in Biologic Material

Nathaniel C. Johnson 1

1 Division of Gerontology, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Mo.

Copper and zinc are determined in biologic material by titration with tetraethylenepentamine (Tetren) at selected pH levels by means of a dual polarized mercury electrode. The procedure is rapid and eliminates wet ashing of organic material.
