Correction

In the article by A.N. Pedersen, N. Brünner, G. Høyer-Hansen, P. Hamer, D. Jarosz, B. Larsen, H.J. Nielsen, and R.W. Stephens, entitled "Determination of the Complex between Urokinase and Its Type-1 Inhibitor in Plasma from Healthy Donors and Breast Cancer Patients" (Clin Chem 1999;45:1206–13), the ROC curve shown in Fig. 4 is incorrect. The correct Fig. 4 is shown below.

The authors apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

The sensitivity (y-axis) and 1 - specificity (x-axis) were calculated for each concentration of uPA:PAI-1 in 19 samples from stage IV breast cancer patients and 39 samples from healthy female donors of similar age. The 95% confidence interval for the area under the ROC curve (0.83) is 0.70-0.96.
