Correction

The review article by L. Kricka on anti-animal antibodies entitled "Human Anti-Animal Antibody Interference in Immunological Assays" (Clin Chem 1999;45:942–56) stated that the Scantibodies Laboratories HBR product is a "monoclonal mouse anti-human IgM". Dr. Kricka indicates that a more correct characterization of this reagent is "the active blocker in HBR is a monoclonal antibody specific against a unique variable region of heterophilic antibodies, which is effective as a blocker in infectious disease and other tests".
