Corrections

In the article "Discontinuation of the Bleeding Time Test without Detectable Adverse Clinical Impact" by C.M. Lehman, R.C. Blaylock, D.P. Alexander, and G.M. Rodgers (Clin Chem, 2001;47:1204–11), the authors wish to correct an error in the fourth sentence of the last paragraph on page 1207. The phrase "significantly larger mean decrease" should be "significantly lower mean decrease". The sentence should read: "On the other hand, significantly more renal allografts were biopsied after the BT test was no longer available (Table 4); and an analysis of the mean decrease in hematocrit for allografts vs native kidneys, for all eligible patients (n = 66), revealed a significantly lower mean decrease in the hematocrit (P = 0.008) for allograft kidneys (mean ± SD = 0.96 ± 2.31; n = 31) vs native kidneys (mean ± SD = 2.68 ± 2.72; n = 35)". The authors apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
