Multiplexed, Targeted Gene Expression Profiling and Genetic Analysis on Electronic Microarrays
The video demonstrates, in real time, the movement of a flourescently labeled DNA oligo on electronic mocroarrays.
A solution of DNA was introduced onto the NanoChip microarray, and fifty of the 100 test sites were electronically
activated. Subsequently, those sites were "turned off," and the adjacent sites were activated. Within seconds, the
DNA concentrates over the newly activated test sites; no flourescent signal remains at the test sites that are no longer activated.
