Submitting a Rebuttal

To rebut a reject decision on a manuscript, go to your Author Area at http://submit.clinchem.org/ and find your manuscript in the ‘Manuscripts With Decisions’ queue. Click on this link.

Click on the ‘Submit Rebuttal’ link under your manuscript listing and enter your rebuttal comments (very important that you do this). Keep in mind that the editor will see whatever you write here. It is at the editor’s discretion whether or not he will share these comments with the reviewers.

After submitting your comments the manuscript will be moved back into active status in our system–the only direct route to the editor–and the editor will be able to view and act upon it.

Decision possibilities after rebuttal:

Response: Keep Original Decision   
Response: Get Another Reviewer   
Response: Allow Request for Revision
